Supervised Contact

Supervised contact is a service that provides a safe harbour for families and their children to spend time together.  Children are free from the pressures of adult issues and are able to spend time with their loved ones in a warm and friendly environment.

Finding skilled staff in supervised contact can be a mission at the best of times and then when you do hire staff, there is all the time it takes to train staff to bring them up to speed.

My workshops are specifically designed for the supervised contact sector and can take all the worry away.  After having worked with Aotearoa/New Zealand Association of Supervised Contact Services (ANZASCS) in helping them to develop and design their online training program; I continued my research into national and international standards and practices for supervised contact.  From that research I developed my contact workshops.  My workshops are based on current practices and standards, aligned with New Zealand legislation, UNCROC and focused on child protection.

(Note: ANZASCS providers – my workshops are meant as a  compliment, not as a replacement, for the online training that you are required to take through your ANZASCS membership).

My workshops are interactive and hands-on.  I use an approach that is realistic, practical, and encourages involvement.  I teach Supervisors the skills that are necessary to run a successful session and provide Coordinators with support in understanding and performing their role.

If you are looking to upskill, want to become a coordinator or a contact supervisor, then my supervised contact workshops will meet your needs!
