About Me

I have been working in business and information systems for over 35 years and a few years ago I followed a dream and became qualified as a professional educator working with children and families.  For many years I have helped lots of business owners, entrepreneurs and  individuals find solutions to problems that seemed overwhelming.

I am passionate about child protection and have been involved with community services and contact providers in developing child protection policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements.  I developed supervised contact workshops so that children and their families will have the best care available to them whilst they are transitioning through this unsettling period.

I have been involved with different businesses and corporations, the education sector, local government and community centres both in New Zealand and United States. I have worked for companies such as, Pacific Bell, Bechtel Construction (San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant), AT&T, Wang, Control Data Corporation, IBM, Telecom, Thames Coromandel District Council, Aotearoa New Zealand Association for Supervised Contact Services (ANZASCS), Step by Step Contact, and Oranga Tamariki.

I am involved in my local community and try to give back where I can – from managing a netball team, helping out at a sausage sizzle, to serving on boards and committees.   I have served as a Secretary on the Boards of the Riding for Disabled (RDA) and Aotearoa New Zealand Association for Supervised Contact Services (ANZASCS), and in Bremerhaven, Germany, I sat on the Board of the American Red Cross as the Fundraising Chairman.

Throughout my career I have advised, developed, designed, project managed, and implemented simple to complex systems for large corporations, small to medium sized businesses, to helping someone who is just starting out in their business.
